Cobcraft Kiln Bungs – Large & Small
Cobcraft insulating kiln bungs are designed to seal the view, vent, or spy holes in your kiln, helping the kiln retain heat more effectively and reach higher temperatures with improved efficiency. Made from high‑temperature insulating material, these bungs provide a secure fit and stable performance across repeated firing cycles.
Two sizes are available. Select the correct bung for your kiln model from the drop‑down menu.

Top cap: 50 mm wide × 25 mm high
Mate kilns transitioned to a smaller spy‑hole size from July 2024, so please check your kiln’s manufacture date if unsure.
Expanded Spy Holes
If your kiln’s view, vent, or spy hole has widened over time due to heat exposure or wear:
Request a piece of fibre to be added to your order
Fibre can be trimmed to size and used to pack out the hole for a snug, efficient seal
