Cobcraft Wooden‑Handled Coilers – NZ Made Circular Cutting Tools
Cobcraft wooden‑handled coilers are precision circular cutting tools used exclusively for shaping clay prior to firing. Made in New Zealand using locally sourced hardwood and a circular stainless‑steel sprung‑wire cutting coil, these tools are ideal for cutting clean circles, arcs, and shaped forms in clay slabs, thrown pieces, and sculptural work.
The cutting coil is made from 4 mm wide × 0.7 mm thick sprung stainless steel, providing excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and resistance to warping. Each coil is hand‑sharpened on both edges, allowing smooth, accurate cutting in any direction.
