Cobcraft manufactures custom heating elements for a wide range of kilns, including older Cobcraft models, Mate kilns, imported kilns, and one‑off custom builds. Every custom element must match the kiln’s power rating, dimensions, terminal layout, and operating temperature, so accurate information is essential.
 
New Custom Elements
For all new custom element designs, please use our Contact Page. We will request the necessary technical details about your kiln, including:
Kiln model or brand
Internal dimensions
Supply voltage and phase
Maximum firing temperature
Existing element specifications (if available)
Photos of the terminal box and element channels
This ensures we design an element that is safe, compatible, and performs correctly.
 
One‑Off Design Fee
A one‑off design fee applies to all new custom element designs. This covers:
Calculating the correct element resistance and power
Designing the coil geometry
Matching the kiln’s electrical load
Preparing a permanent reference for future orders
Once the design is completed, all future elements for this kiln can be ordered without any additional design fee.
 
Repeat Orders
If you have ordered custom elements from us before:
Select your Element Reference from the drop‑down box
We will remake the element to the exact same specification
Your reference number ensures a perfect match without needing to re‑measure the kiln.
